The Mission in Motion
Nearly every year, Pandit Ajoy Chakrabarty personally leads a concert tour across cities in the United States, presented by local Indian Classical Music organizations and rasiks who sustain this tradition in their own communities. Each tour is a direct extension of the mission described on our Mission page: making sure geography is never the reason someone is kept from this tradition. This spring, Panditji carried his teaching and his music in person across thirteen cities in the United States — presented locally, and in several cities by Para Share, a national touring partner that helped coordinate multiple stops.

Panditji's 2023 tour opened at the North American Bengali Conference (NABC) before continuing through solo concerts, traditional Baithaks, and multi-day vocal workshops presented with the Chhandayan Center for Indian Music in New York.

Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall, Atlantic City, NJ — headlined the inauguration, as the seniormost vocalist from India.

Large-auditorium concerts paired with intimate, traditional classical Baithaks, accompanied by Soumen Sarkar (Tabla) and Gourab Chatterjee (Harmonium).

Vocal Workshops & Seminars
Intensive multi-day training in Hindustani classical, Rabindra Sangeet, and Nazrul Geeti, co-organized with the Chhandayan Center for Indian Music, New York.
